Background
ARCS, Azienda Regionale di Coordinamento per la Salute, is the body coordinating the Regional Health Service of Friuli Venezia Giulia: a system spanning multiple health authorities, hospitals, clinical networks and community health centres across the entire region.
With such a complex structure, finding the right information was difficult for citizens and healthcare professionals alike. There was no single digital access point, accessible, updatable and equal to the system's complexity, that could make the RSS understandable before it was even navigable.

The project
We designed and developed the portal with a dual navigation tree: one section dedicated to ARCS as an organisation, a larger one covering the entire regional healthcare system, including hospitals, clinical networks, community health centres and territorial facilities.
The portal was built with an open-source CMS, compliant with AgID guidelines, WCAG 2.1 level AA, the Open Data Directive and GDPR. We focused on SEO optimisation, responsive navigation across all devices, the Clinical Networks section and automatic content translation. The contract includes 24 months of evolutionary maintenance with guaranteed SLAs and a training programme for in-house web publishers.
